​The Forest City Area Historical Society is proud to announce the presentation of a concert by the Lenoxville Community Band, directed by Roland Decker, Sunday October 13th at 2:00 P.M. at the FCA Historical Society Museum,  corner of Dundaff and Main Streets in Forest City.
        The Lenoxville Community Band was started in 1937 and performed at the New York World’s Fair in 1939.  In 1946, the band received top honors in a 14 band competition in Towanda, Pa.  The 82 year old group performs a wide range of music and have performed across the region for decades including concerts in Apalachin, N.Y., Owego, N.Y.,  Harrisburg, Pa., and the Harford Fair.   This is a concert you don’t want to miss.
         Admission to this fundraising event for the Forest City Area Historical Society is $5.00 for adults, children under 12 Free.  The Forest City Area Historical Society is handicapped accessible and air conditioned.  While at the FCA Historical Society, view the many historical displays form the Forest City Regional Area including our display of flags for our hometown heroes.   Contact for the Forest City Area Historical Society:  570-785-3800.

Old Time Fiddlers Were Back

Back by popular demand "The Old Time Fiddlers" bluegrass group will perform at the Forest City Area Historical Society, corner of Main and Dundaff Streets, Friday, June 28th at 8:00 P.M.  The group consists of nearly twenty musicians and singers from Northeastern Pennsylvania.  The group has been performing at the Forest City Area Historical Society each year for the past several years to large enthusiastic crowds (photo by Roseann Swegel).  The Old Time Fiddlers perform a wide range of folk and bluegrass music that you just don't want to miss.      

Admission to this fund raising event for the Forest City Area Historical Society is $5.00 for adults,  Children under 12 Free.  While at the Forest City Area Historical Society,  view the many historical displays from the Forest City regional communities and our vast Hometown Heroes display.   The Forest City Area Historical Society is Handicapped
accessible.
