From President Kameen:

"I saw Larry Rockhill in town on Monday, July 11, and stopped to tell him how very satisfied we were with the air conditioning which he installed in our museum.  When I asked him for a bill, Mr. Rockhill said he would not be billing us, that he was going to donate his material and labor to the Historical Society.  He said he has many customers in Forest City and he has already heard from several of them about his company doing the installation of the air conditioning unit in the Historical Society."

"Mr. Rockhill also informed me that the donation of the one year old air conditioning unit which was in the Forest City Dollar store, was being made by the owner of the building who leases it to  Dollar General."

"It is the generosity shown by area businesses and individuals, like Larry Rockhill,  which have made it possible for the Historical Society to be financially solvent during its existence.  It was Past President Tammy O’Reilly and Dave Opeka who made the contact with Mr. Rockhill which resulted in his generous donation.  For this we thank them also."

John P. Kameen, President
Forest City Area Historical Society
